Liberty vs. Freedom - America and Israel, a stark contrast

Many people equate Liberty with Freedom, but they are quite different. In America, we live under Liberty not Freedom. Law define the boundaries of what we can and cannot do. This is Liberty not true Freedom. You can be born free but sell yourself into slavery; but you cannot be born into slavery and set yourself free.

We have a skewed concept of real freedom. We don't own our land, just try to avoid paying the land rental taxes, also known as, property tax, and see how free you are.

We could protest but to what end. What is our true citizenship? In the first place, we are of the empire of Israel. We are citizens of heaven, but it is far more popular to wave a flag and and pledge allegiance to it and the republic. Funny we are little different than the 1st century, Israelite looking to Jesus as a militant conqueror. Yes, every knee shall bow, but in His timing and not ours.

A government based on a Greco-Roman Republic vs. a God Centered Theocracy, a big difference between the two. Don' t get me wrong, I enjoy and I am thankful for the freedoms we still enjoy. On a side note, we have it all wrong, it is not "God bless America, IT SHOULD be America BLESS GOD!" We are richly blessed and live better than kings of the past, but rather than offering up an attitude of gratitude, it is: "MORE LORD, MORE, MORE, MORE, and help ME out of this trouble I have gotten myself into ... Again."

I pray that the eyes and ears of your Spirit will be open, and hear that what I share; but don't trust a word I type or say, but rather confirm or dispute what I say against the Scripture, not what man has taught or said, but the Scripture.
